Work cycle

Morning/Afternoon Schedule

Children are welcomed between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. or 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. Upon arrival, children naturally begin their work cycle.

We ask parents to bring their child into the room themselves, for organizational and safety reasons.

The work cycle lasts 3 hours, during which the child chooses his or her activities freely. He or she also takes his or her break independently and prepares his or her own snack.

When the child is ready to connect with others, we offer group activities and cooperative games that promote listening, respect and the building of social bonds.

At the end of the morning or afternoon, we meet for a small closing circle: a moment of discussion around a theme, a group game, a story or a song.

Finally, we go down together, get dressed alone, and eagerly await the arrival of our parents.

Language immersion

At Les petites chaises, language immersion is at the heart of our educational approach. Children learn in French, German, or English—a language that reflects the cultural richness of our region and prepares them for a multilingual world.

Each week, half-days dedicated to German or English are offered, allowing children to naturally immerse themselves in a foreign language through activities, songs, stories, games and everyday exchanges.

This early immersion promotes:

  • the development of the linguistic ear,

  • ease in communication,

  • intercultural understanding,

  • and supports the objectives of the HarmoS plan in terms of bilingualism.

Learning takes place without pressure, respecting the pace of each child, promoting curiosity and the pleasure of discovering a new language.

Practical information

How are the children adapting?

The adaptation is done in several stages to respect the rhythm of each child:

1st meeting: with the parents and the child alone. The child discovers the environment, and the parents can ask any questions they may have.

2nd meeting: a parent accompanies the child for a session with the other children.

Step 3: If the child seems comfortable, the parent can leave briefly (go for a coffee) to test a gentle separation.

Trial period: The first month is considered a trial month. In case of cancellation, one month's notice is required.

What languages are spoken during the activities?

Languages vary depending on the schedule:

- Thursday morning: English immersion

- Thursday afternoon: German immersion

Should children bring a snack?

No, the snack is provided on site. Children learn to prepare it themselves. It consists of:

- A vegetable

👉 In case of food allergies, veganism, vegetarianism please mention it in the registration form.
